The Kansas City Royals go to the World Series
The Kansas City Royals are going to the World Series and are playing the first game on Oct. 20.
This is the first time the Royals have been to the World Series in 29 years.
Fans of the Royals, like junior Kinsey Ackerman, are ecstatic.
“I’m so proud of them,” Ackerman said. “I love baseball, and I’ve been a fan of the Royals since I was little.”
Sophomore Cameron Jensen said she is also a big fan of the Royals, and can’t wait to watch them play.
“I’ve been watching baseball since I was really young,” Cameron said. “I’ve always watched the Royals play, but I’ve never been this into watching them until I heard they made it into the World Series. That’s a big deal.”
