They lost the first game 5-4 and won the second game 7-4.

Freshman Hayden Hutchinson had a complete game as pitcher in the first game.

Hays will host their first round regional game which is to be decided still.

Freshman April Johnson scored the first goal in the 27^th minute of the game.

Dodge City tied up the game in 77^th minute.

Freshman Megan Bird won the game with a goal in the 99^th minute, just one minute before the game would’ve ended in a 1-1 tie.

Hays will be host of a regional game on Monday with the opponent to be decided.

The team overall went 4-0 to win the tournament.

On the first day of the tournament Hays played Colby and Ellis. Hays beat Colby 5-2 in the first game of the day and Ellis 11-9 in the last game of the day.

Friday night the team beat Salina Central 7-6 after being down 4-0.

Hays beat Goodland 7-5 in the last game of the tournament on Saturday.

The next game for the Indians is at Salina South on Tuesday.

At halftime the score was 1-0 in favor of Hays on a goal by senior Jayme Hansen in the 27^th minute.

Wichita-Trinity scored two tie the game in the 77^th minute sending the game into overtime.

In the overtime Wichita-Trinity scored off of a breakaway in the 87^th minute to win the title.

The next game for the girls is at Dodge City on Tuesday.

Senior Jessie Steffen scored the only goal of the game in the 9^th minute.

The Indians will play in the championship on Saturday at 3:00 P.M. against Wichita Trinity.

Hays was leading at halftime 2-0 when sophomore Madeline Kasra scored in the 13^th minute and an own goal in the 35^th minute.

In the second half freshman Taylor Herman scored in the 48^th minute and Kasra scored in the 48^th minute.

During the 58^th minute Sunrise Academy scored another own goal, while senior Jessie Steffen scored in the 63^rd minute.

Sunrise Academy scored in the 78^th minute to keep from being shutout.

The Indians return to action tonight in the second round of the Wichita North Cup against Wichita North.

Number one singles player junior Taylor Ermoian finished third, number two singles senior Michael Sterling finished fifth, and junior Max Haverfield, playing the number three spot, placed second.

The number one doubles team of sophomores Bryce and Blake McClung went 2-2, tying for second place.  Senior Brett Beougher and junior Ben Glassman played the number two doubles position and finished fourth.

The Indians have Regionals on May 8.

Hays High won the first game 10-4 with junior Casey Sedbrook starting, and senior Dan Moritz to close out the game.

Sophomore Austin Unrein pitched the whole second game leading the Indians to a 4-2 win.

The next games for the Indians are in the Western Diamond Classic at home against Colby, Ellis, Salina Central, and Goodland May 6-8.

Garden City scored the lone goal in the game late in the first half.

In WAC play garden city is now on a 38-game win streak after the win over Hays High.

Between the Varsity and Junior Varsity game seven seniors were honored. Seniors Calie Borthwick, Jayme Hansen, Ellie Kasra, Renee Kippes, Mina Riazi, Jessie Steffen, and Shelby Sulzman.

The next soccer action is on Tuesday against Sunrise Academy in the Wichita Tournament.
