Cheerleaders and athletes help out local shelter

To help out the battered woman’s crisis center, athletes donated $500 raised from gold cards and cheerleaders gave the shelter daily necessities.
“Budget cuts this year have affected many people,” cheer coach Twyla Ricke said. “They’re financially stressed, and aren’t giving as much as they used to.
As a way to give back to the community, cheerleaders put together a big basket of goods to give to the home, and athletics donated money. The goods were delivered to the shelter on Oct. 8th.
