About 25 Allied Health students will be going to the hospital to help patients for clinical from Feb. 1-May 11.
The students will be working on getting their CMA and working in different areas of the hospital.
“Students will be breaking up into different groups and be working in different areas of the hospital. Such as: surgical, cardiac step down, and medical,” Allied Health teacher Roxie Ruder said. “Students will shadow a LPN at the hospital in their selected group. Also, they will be working as CNAs but training as CMAs at the same time.”
Allied Health is a class offered here but is taken at NCKTC. The students study how to become a CNA, CMA, and also become trained in first aid and CPR.
