High school kids learn from little ones

The day is just starting, and kids are starting to fill the high school class room. The class isn’t filled with the normal high schoolers; however, they are preschoolers.
The class high school students do to help out preschoolers is called Child Development. Instructor Kathy Kuhn said students learn about what children do and the child development throughout the year.
“My favorite thing about Child Development was just working with the kids,” junior Stephanie Windholz said.
Each student can plan a small activity with each preschooler, starting with an arts and crafts exercise, a physical activity, snack time, then a quiet activity such as playing with Play Dough or laying down.
“I really think it was a great learning experience for the future,” Windholz said. “If it wasn’t for that class, I wouldn’t have known not to give a new born baby milk straight from the carton.”
