Girls Golf team takes second at Dodge City Invitational

The Lady Indian golf team placed second at the Dodge City Invitational on Sept. 11.
The girls golf team compiled a 18 hole score of 378 trailing Goddard-Eisenhower with a 377. Garden City took third with a 379, while Maize finished next with a 392. Other teams were Great Bend,403; Hutchinson,407; Dodge City,417; Salina South,434; Hoisington,437; Cimarron, 438; Goddard,439; Liberal, 441.
Individual medalists were sophomore Katie Brungardt with a score of 83 placing third and sophomore Rhian Patterson with a score of 93 placing tenth. Junior Taylor DeBoer shot a 103 and senior Elissa Jenson, 105; senior Lexie Schaben, 99; senior Macie Mayo,111.
As of the Sept.11 in the Dodge City Invitational, the WAC standings are Hays in first place with 10 points, with Garden City following with 8 points. Great Bend is third with 6 points. Other schools are Dodge City, 4 points; Liberal, 2 points.
For individuals in the WAC standings sophomore Katie Brungardt is in third with 24 points, sophomore Rhian Patterson in fourth with 23 points, and in sixth place is junior Taylor DeBoer with 15.5 points.
The lady Indians will go to the Garden City Invitational on Sept. 18.
