Students discuss dating

Dating is sometimes thought to be difficult due to the lack of dating locations in Hays; however some students have ideas a bit more creative the usual movie date.
“There’s nothing to do here, it’s too boring,” sophomore Daisy Herrera said.
Some students feel that there’s nowhere to hang out in this tiny town, and certainly nowhere to go for dates.
“We go to each other’s houses, that’s all we do besides walk to the park,” sophomore Lashawn Jones said.
Some students will just hang out at each other’s houses, but for some students this isn’t an option due to over-protective parents.
“I think we should get a skating rink, it would be romantic, picnics are a good idea too,” senior Kristyn Hodny said.
Some students take a more romantic approach for dates, such as a night star gazing, going on a dinner date, or maybe even golfing.
“Spend the night cuddling and watching a movie,” sophomore Savannah Weilert said.
Some students simply want to spend the night together, watching a movie they both enjoy.
“You’d probably have to go out of town since there’s nothing to do here,” senior Brittany Mills said.
Depending on what you’re in to, you might have to leave town to get a good date, but if you’re creative enough you just might be able to come up with a fun idea for you and your date to enjoy.
