Indians take first at Great Bend

Indian Golfers took first place at the rain shortened Great Bend Invitational May 4.

The tournament was called after 14 holes due to lightning.  In order to place the individuals and teams, they took how many strokes over they were and divided it by the number of holes they completed.

In second place was Garden City with 16, and Great Bend finishing a close third with 17 strokes. Other competing teams were Liberal, 50, Dodge City, 53, Salina South, 137.

Individually medaling was Payton Ruder in first with one over after 14 holes, Cash Hobson in fourth also with one over after 14 holes, and Justin McCullick in seventh with four over after 14 holes. Nathan Romme was nine over, Allen Zollinger was 11 over, and Peyton Kieffer was 13 over.

The Indian Golfers will travel to Liberal May 12.
