Halloween is quickly approaching, but October is also recognized for several other obscure observances.
For example, October is Adopt-a-Shelter Animal Month, and also Family History Month. October is National Pizza Month, National Clock Month, National Stamp Collecting Month, and National Rollerblading Month. National Fire Prevention Week is also celebrated in many elementary schools across the country.
