The Indians fell to a 50-42 loss against the Dodge City Red Demons on Feb. 10 at Dodge City.
Senior Dan Moritz led the team with 10 points and junior Seth Tophoj hit two three-pointers in the last two quarters. Dodge City held the Indians at 41 percent shooting and a few of the fouls called were questioned by Coach Rick Keltner.
“I thought that we had some calls that could have gone either way and we just didn’t finish them off,” Keltner said.
The red demons held the Indians to a score of 42 with 41 minutes left on the clock until the final buzzer. Going on a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter, the Demons had two three-point plays as the Indians missed their final six shots.
The Indians are now 3-1 in the WAC conference and 11-5 overall.
Next Indian action will be Friday, Feb. 12 at Liberal.
