The lady Indians softball team played a double-header against Colby High School on Tuesday, April 20. Ending with both a win and a loss, that puts the Indians at 6-2.
During the first game, Hays High had a whopping 14 points whereas Colby scored no runs. Three Indians got two hits in two at-bats: sophomore Mackenzie Albers, senior Carissa Wickham, and senior Amanda Groff.
During the second game, Colby barely pulled it out against the Indians with a 5-4 win. Sophomore Jill Taylor struck out at the bottom of the seventh inning with bases loaded and two strikes. It was a very close game.
Next Indian action is April 27 against Dodge City.
