Girls Golf takes first at Liberal

Indian golfers take first place at the Liberal Invitational on Sept. 25.

The girls golf team for a 9 hole tournament totaled a 165, with Garden City in second with a 176, Dodge City in third with a 201. Other teams competing were Liberal, 203, Great Bend, 209.

Individually senior Lexie Schaben placed first with a 37, sophomore Katie Brungardt took third with a 42, sophomore Rhian Patterson placed fifth with a 43, junior Taylor Deboer took sixth place with 43.
The current WAC standings are Hays in first with 20 points, Garden City in second with 16 points, Great Bend in third with 10 points, Dodge City in fourth with nine points, and Liberal in fifth with five points.

Individually in the WAC tournament sophomore Rhian Patterson is in third with 47 points, sophomore Katie Brungardt in fourth with 45.5 points, junior Taylor Deboer in fifth with 39.5 points, and senior Lexie Schaben in sixth place with 34 points.

The Indians will go to the Hutchinson Invitational on Oct. 2.
