Softball drops season opener at Kapaun on March 24
The girls softball team lost a doubleheader against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on March 24. In the first game, the girls were defeated in a close game, 8-7, followed by a 23-13 loss in the second game.
Senior Kaylie Schoendaller had a grand slam and a double in the first game. Juniors Madison Prough and Shannon Schumacher also each had a double, while junior Nicole Dinkel had a triple. Dinkel also had a stolen base while junior Kylie Brown had two stolen bases.
In the second game, juniors Albany Schaffer, Tessa Stickel, Schumacher and Brown each had a double. Schaffer had three RBIs. Dinkel also had a stolen base.
