Indian baseball prevails against Garden City

The Indian baseball team traveled to and defeated Garden City on April 21. The score of the first game was 5-4.

At the end of the first inning, the teams were tied 2-2. By the fifth, the Indians were tied 4-4. Hays scored one run in the seventh inning to win the game.

In the second game the Indians won 13-10.

Hays got off to a dismal start, down 7-1 at the end of the second inning. In the third inning, the Indians picked back up, scoring seven runs. The fifth inning ended with Hays down by one, 10-9. Hays scored four more runs in the sixth inning and kept Garden City from making any more complete runs.

The Indians now have a record of 3-5. The next games will take place on April 27 at Dodge City for the freshman team, and April 28 at Great Bend for varsity and junior varsity.
