The boys golf team won its fourth consecutive regional crown on May 16 at the Sugar Hill Golf Course in Goodland.

The golfers finished with a team total of 335, 24 strokes better than Goodland with a 359. Colby was third with a 362, followed by Ulysses with a 380. Other team scores were Holcomb, 383; Nickerson, 413; Concordia, 453; and Hugoton, 497.

Individually, Hays had four golfers place in the top 10, led by Tradgon McCrae’s first-place finish of 80 on the par 71 course. Payton Ruder took third with an 83, followed by Allen Zollinger with an 85 in eighth place. Peyton Kieffer brought home the ninth-place medal with an 87. Justin McCullick and Josh Norris ended up in 11th and 18th place with scores of 89 and 94, respectively.
