Indian Softball falls to Garden City Buffaloes at home on April 25

Freshman Macee Altman hits off the Garden City pitcher in the home game against the Buffaloes on April 25.

The Hays High Indian softball lost to the Garden City Buffaloes on April 25 11-0 in the first game and 20-1 in the second game.

In the first game, the Buffaloes scored one run in the first inning, four in the second, scoreless in the third, two in the fourth, scoreless in the fifth, and four in the sixth. The Indians were scoreless throughout the game, ending the game 11-0.

Throughout the game, the Buffaloes had six hits and no errors while the Indians had two hits and two errors.

Pitching for the Indians was sophomore Jaysa Wichers for six innings with six hits, eleven runs, eight errors, and four strikeouts.

In the second game against the Buffaloes, the Buffaloes scored five runs in the first innings, three runs in the second, one in the third, and eight in the fifth. The Indians scored one run in the first and remained scoreless for the rest of the game, ending the game 20-1.

Throughout the game, the Buffaloes had seventeen hits, and no errors while the Indians had seven hits and eight errors.

Scoring the Indians only run was sophomore MacKenzie Fagan.

Pitching for the Indians was freshman Macee Altman for five innings with seventeen hits, twenty runs, ten errors, and two strikeouts.

The Indians are now 4-8 on the season and will play in the Salina Sacred Heart Tri on April 27.
