1. Buy a star and name it after someone you love.
2. Introduce yourself to a stranger, but with a different name and personality. This person can be a kid at school you don’t know, the clerk at the store, the waiter at a restaurant, etc.
3. Put a quarter in a gumball machine and walk away. The next person to walk along will have a free gumball!
4. In 3rd person, write a random chapter of your own biography.
5.Read at least 20 new books by the end of the school year. NO RE-READS!
6. Buy a disposable camera; tie it to a popular bench in town, attach a note saying that you will be back by the end of the day to pick up the camera. If the camera is still there, develop the photos.
7. Write your dreams on a balloon and let it go.
8. Write random letters in library books. Whether it is a hello, book spoiler, book discussion, etc. Check up on the book a few weeks later and see if someone replied.
9. Be a tourist in your own town. Visit important places, take pictures, and act obnoxious. Extra kudos for a fanny pack.
10. Take a walk in the rain without an umbrella.
11. Learn to do magic tricks and impress everyone you know or just random people on the street.
12. Try to become ambidextrous.
13. Tell someone what you really think of them, mean or kind.
14. Write an encouraging or inspirational message on a dollar bill.
15. Keep a book of your dreams, and put in at least five entries. Make sure to write the dreams immediately after you wake up, or you may forget.
16. Try to learn a new language.
17. Visit a retirement home and walk in to the first open room you see. Talk, play games, or read to the person inside.
18. Watch a series of movies in 24 hours.
19. Get together a large group of friends and play hide and go seek in the dark. Use flashlights for safety!
20. See the sunrise and the sunset of the same day.
21. Speak with an accent for an entire day.
22. Take a plain notebook and every day for two weeks write at least one thing in it. It can be one word, a picture, a story about your day, anything.
23. Go a whole day doing things that don’t involve technology (computer, cell phone, etc.)
24. Have a lemonade stand and give the profits to charity.
25. Make deep conversation with a telemarketer.
26. Make a cake from scratch for your friend’s birthday.
27. Attempt to quit Facebook for a month.
28. Go fishing with an older relative and ask him to tell you what it was like when he was your age.
29. Make dinner for your family that’s not out of a box.
30. Throw a party. It can be small or big.
31. Have a tea party with one of your pets. If you don’t have a pet, try an inanimate object.
32. Try a new sport for the first time.
33. Take a long bike ride by yourself.
34. Go camping for an entire weekend with a group of friends.
35. Carry a camera with you and document a day.
36. Draw the same object every day for a week.
37. Write down 25 things that make you happy. Shy away from the obvious.
38. Give a stranger a compliment.
39. Make freshly squeezed orange juice.
40. Laugh obnoxiously for a day.
41. Make a sappy love letter and put it in your neighbor’s mailbox.
42. Create a fake parking ticket with crayons. Put it underneath the windshield wiper of a random car.
43. Tell a knock-knock joke to the pizza delivery guy.
44. Start heavily supporting a cause you care about.
45. Learn to read palms.
46. Call someone you haven’t talked to in forever.
47. Become a part of a Pen Pal program.
48. Plant something outside in your yard.
49. Fly a kite with a younger sibling or relative.
