The winners of the Guidon’s Six Word Story contest were announced on Jan. 29.

Third place went to freshman Skylar Prickett, second place went to junior Kodi Custine and third place went to freshman Rebecca Anderson.

Over 40 stories were submitted to the Guidon Lit for the contest.

The first place story was, “One bride. Two words. First Regret.” by Rebecca Anderson.

Anderson said she was very excited to win first place.

“I entered for the extra credit,” Anderson said. “I also liked the idea of writing something nice.”

Custine said they entered for the candy bar prize.

“I honestly didn’t enter for the iTunes card,” Custine said. “I wanted the candy bar. I also really enjoy literature.”

Prickett said he entered for the extra credit.

“I was really excited when I heard I won,” Prickett said. “My English class was offering extra credit for entering, so it was just a bonus. ”

Contest winners can pick up their prizes from Mr. Gasper’s room on Thursday, Feb. 4.
