The Spring concert is the final concert held during each school year. During this time, seniors are recognized for their accomplishments in music during the school year.

Senior Courtney Ellis is a member of Chamber Singers, Concert Choir and Orchestra.

“I’m really going to miss the quality of the music programs and the instructors,” Ellis said. “I have been taught so much during my high school career. I love making music with my friends, I feel like we are all one big family.”

Ellis was one of the four members recognized in Chamber Singers for their musicianship. The other Chamber Singers recognized were seniors Jared Thom, Kinsey Ackerman and Brandon Davidson.

“We are all exceptionally talented in our own ways,” Ellis said. “I’m so proud of everyone involved with music.”

Junior Kodi Custine performed along on the bass with the Chamber Singers during the song ‘Wayfaring Stranger’.

“I just genuinely enjoy music,” Custine said. “It gives people a purpose.”

Custine is also a member of the Orchestra.

“We have a bunch of seniors graduating this year,” Custine said. “They’re all going to be successful in life whether it be through music or something else.”

Custine said their favorite song was “Alegretto”.

“Anyone that sees me perform that song would understand why it’s my favorite,” Custine said. “It’s so much fun.”

Sophomore Erin Murihead is involved with band, which also performed at the concert.

“It was one of our best performances,” Murihead said. “Jazz band and normal band both did great. We’ve all grown so much as a group. Mr. Rome has been a great teacher, and we’ve leaned so much from him this year.”

Freshmen Hayden Giebler and Lindsey Pfannenstiel are both involved in Concert Choir.

“I’m sad that this is my last concert of the year,” Giebler said. “I’m going to try out for Chamber Singers and I’m really excited to see what next year has in store.”

Pfannenstiel said she was excited for the last concert.

“My favorite song to sing is ‘Ballad to the Moon’,” Pfannenstiel said. “We all sound so beautiful.”

Junior MKilar Otte is also involved with Concert Choir.

“I’m really going to miss the seniors,” Otte said. “I have another year to go, so I guess I just have to wait in see what’s in store.”
