Junior Hayden Sillmon has been participating in various music programs since the sixth grade. Sillmon enjoys performing and loves to sing.

1. What music programs do you participate in?

”I participate in Chamber Singers, concert choir, and musical.”

2. What got you interested in singing?

“I’ve known Matlock since the sixth grade, and he got me into music and encouraged me to sing.”

3. What kind of things do you do in the music programs?

“We do a lot of dancing, some tours, and sing at retirement homes.”

4. Do you have any plans in the future with music?

“I want to be a music teacher.”

5. What made you want to be a music teacher?

“Teaching music is just something I’ve always wanted to do.”

6. Who is your favorite music teacher so far?

“Matlock, he is outgoing and encouraging.”

7. Do you wish you could play any instruments?

“I wish I could play the piano, it would come in handy in my life.”

8. What is your favorite music involved memory?

“It hasn’t happened yet, but the Chamber Singer’s trip to Florida.”

9. Did you always want to be in Chamber singers?

“Yes, it was kind of a calling for me.”

10. Do you have anything you wish you could do with music?

“I have always wanted to sing on a big stage in front of a big crow.”

11. What is your favorite song you’ve ever performed?

“My favorite song I’ve ever done is One Jump Ahead from the movie ‘Aladdin’.”

12. Are there any opportunities or things you wish music students had?

“I wish that we had our own auditorium to perform in.”

13. What is your biggest goal with music?

“To teach music and inspire students.”
