Community members open juice bar

To encourage healthy habits, community members Jessica and Curt Braun have begun working on their juice bar, the Otter Juice Company.

The Brauns are planning on opening on Feb. 1 in the Sake2Me restaurant where the coffee shop used to be.

“We will not be serving smoothies,” Jessica Braun said. “We are just doing straight juicing.”

Braun said they will be serving baked goods as well but will not be using animal products.

“We have been juicing for about four years,” Braun said. “We have been working on this for about a month.”

Braun said the intended hours will be from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“For a 16-ounce juice, it will be about $7 to $8,” Braun said.

Braun will continue working her job as a veterinarian in the afternoons and is planning to work around the juice bar schedule.
