Instructor Johnny Matlock holds his annual Dinner Show meeting with the parents of students in Chamber Singers. The meeting is normally held earlier in January but had to be moved back on account of a new development.

Vocal instructor Johnny Matlock announced the Chamber Singers Dinner Show theme on Monday, Jan. 29 at his annual Dinner Show meeting for parents of the Chamber Singers. The theme will be “The Greatest Show,” a take on The Greatest Showman.

“I had originally thought about doing a different theme,” Matlock said. “But I ended up changing last minute after Dusty Schneider showed me the opening song of the movie. I knew we just had to do it.”

The theme is very broad and general so it should be an easy one for students to choose a wide variety of songs, fast, slow, classics and modern Matlock said.

“My original theme was also very broad,” Matlock said. “But I just feel like this one fits our group, and our singers, a lot better.

“The Dinner Show performances are May 4, 5, and 6 so mark your calendars, it’s going to be an amazing show.”
