“The Hunchback of Notre Dame” receives 11 Jester nominations
Senior Erin Muirhead dances to the “Rhythm of the Tambourine.” Muirhead has been nominated for a Jester Award based on her performance in the musical “Hunchaback of Notre Dame.”
The 17th Annual Jester Awards held by Music Theatre Wichita will take place on Sunday, May 6. The program is an awards ceremony designed to recognized outstanding performances in high school musical theatre. The awards ceremony will take place at the Century II Performing Arts Center this year and will have a $10 admissions fee.

senior Erin Muirhead has participated in the Musical at Hays High for four years, and this is her first nomination and her first lead role.
“I’m very excited for the nomination and thankful for the opportunity,” Muirhead said “I think our school put a lot of hard work into it, and I think it was a good turnout for nominations, but it’s always great to get more.”
