First-quarter turnovers along with a slow start hindered the boys basketball team as it lost 59-42 against Pratt on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
By the time the first-quarter was over the boys trailed 16-2 and had 11 turnovers.
At half-time the score was 32-15 as the boys didn’t let the lead get bigger.
In the second-half the boys had seven turnovers total in keeping better possession of the ball.
Freshman Brady Werth had 14 points on the night, while sophomores Layne Downing, Kade Parker and Jordan Windholz each had six.
Junior Derek Bixenman had four assists on the night.
The next game for the boys is Friday, Jan. 6, against Liberal.
