Indian golf places second at home tournament

The Indian golf team left their home tournament on April 16 with a second place finish.

The Indians had two top ten place medalists.

Junior Trey McCrae won second place with a score of 75, senior Allen Zollinger placed eighth with a score of 82, while junior Josh Norris placed 11th with a score of 83, senior Peyton Kieffer placed 15th with a score of 85 giving the team a composite score of 325 to place second, falling to Garden City by one stroke.

Senior Erik Kreutzer placed 30th with a score of 94 and junior Keaton Schlaefli placed 55th with a score of 108.

JV players were also present and participated at the tournament. Junior Brett Bowles left with 98 strokes, freshman Miles Keller also had 98 strokes, junior Blade Quinby with 107 strokes, senior Adam Klausmeyer with 108 strokes, freshman Weston Hoskins with 114 strokes, freshman Tommy Brooks with 120 strokes and freshman Tucker Veatch with 125 strokes.

The Indian golf team will travel to Dodge City on April 19 for their next tournament of the season.
