The Lady Indians basketball defeated Great Bend, 55-47 on Feb. 27.

The win against Great Bend makes their record 6-14 in the season.

In the first quarter Great Bend lead the quarter 13-7 against Hays. In the second quarter Hays lead the scoring 17-8. The score at the half was Hays 24-21. In the third quarter Hays lead the scoring by a narrow margin of 12-11, and in the final quarter Hays outscored Great Bend 19-15, accounting for the final score.

Audra Schmeidler scored 14 points shooting 6-13 inside the arc, 1-5 behind the arc. She had 12 rebounds and one assist.  Tayln Kleweno scored 10 points and Emily Peckham added eight points to Hays’ score.

Rounding out the remaining score was Summer Smith with six points, Brooke Russell with five points, Nicole Dinkel and Haley George both with four points each, Mattie Keller and Ashlyn Parrish both adding two points completing the final score.
