Royals vs. Giants in the World Series

Royals vs. San Francisco Giants in the World Series, the last time the Royals were in the World Series was in 1985 vs. the Saint Louis Cardinals and now 29 years they’re back to hope to win the series again.

In game one on Oct. 21 the Royals lost 7-1 to the Giants. Game two was a redemption game for the Royals, winning the Game 7-2. Game three is Oct 24 at 7:07 p.m. at the AT&T Park in San Francisco, California.

The Royals are tied 1-1. The first team to reach 4 wins out of 7 games will win the World Series. In the 1985 World Series the Royals won 4 out of the 7 games.

“I feel like the little boy on the trike from the Incredibles when he finally does see something amazing,” senior Benjamin Rajewski said. “You can’t possibly put on paper how happy I am about it. I watched them through plenty of 90-100 loss seasons and now something amazing is happening.”

“It’s surprising, I figured they would have taken a dive by now, but go royals,” said freshman Tana Herreman.
Freshman Trinity Callis said I think it’s cool that a Kansas team is back in the World Series.

“I feel like a kid again,” said Physics teacher Cheryl Shepherd-Adams, “when we lived in Kansas City we’d go to a lot of the games because my dad would get free tickets from his employer.

“I hope they win,” said senior Landon Fossum

Senior Joshua Pemberton said I hope they go all the way.

“I am beyond excited about the Royals. I have been raised as a diehard Royals fan and will most likely always be,” said senior Andrew McGinnis, “Not only is it cool to see the Royals there, it’s a relief to see a constant smile on my dad’s face because of how happy he is about it.
