In a page one story about F.A.S.T in the February edition of The Guidon, it incorrectly stated that Hester said “he is pushing for the board to pass the tax increase to fund the project.”
It should have read that Hester said he is pushing for the board to use existing capital outlay funds to fund the project.
There are no plans to levy any new taxes for the purpose of building the facility. The board is expected to make a decision at its Feb. 6 meeting on whether to use existing funds to complete construction of the new building.
The Guidon apologizes for the error.
