Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus is hosting a Facebook live session for any students who show interest in becoming future pilots.

This event will take place at 7 p.m., Nov. 15, on K-State Polytechnic’s Facebook page. Viewers will be able to tune into “The Polytechnic Experience Live” where they will be able to learn and ask questions.

The students will learn about the curriculum, fleet, flight time, scholarships, career options, etc.

Throughout the Facebook live there will be an aviation professor, current students and an admissions representative on hand to answer questions in real time.

Counselor Amy Miller says that the program could potentially lead to a promising future.

“Even going into the drones and doing stuff like that, you have to have a pilot’s license to do that, so tonight at seven through Facebook there’s a live presentation that will give you some details on what it’s like to be a pilot and what you need to do,”  Miller said. “Yes, it is expensive to get your pilots license, but the opportunity and their placement rate is really good and the opportunity to earn a good living from that payoff, those student loans, is very good and very promising.”
